Tooth cavity
With a small cavity in a upper jaw tooth one dentist recommended simply filling whereas the other one is asking for a root canal

Get an x ray done. After analysis of clinical symptoms and x ray, any dentist will be able to tell whether it can be treated by a root canal or by a simple filling. Borderline cases requires another procedure in which the dentist initially does a filling( pulp capping) followed by wait and watch for 21 days to 45 days. If the pain is increasing during the wait n watch period then you may require root canal

hi you dont have to be confuse you have choose the treatment accordingly your objective sign of your tooth means if you have the deep sensation along with pain food biting then it might go for root canal but its needs dental xray for confirmation and if you dont have above findings then it can be go for simple filling .....thanks regards

Get an opinion from an endodontist,who will clearly tell you if a root canal treatment is needed.x-rays need to be taken and checked.

Most of the times, if the cavity has caused episodes of pain, a small radiograph is taken to decide for rct . On few occasions it is also possible to advise rct in a painless tooth but it should have clear radiographic proof. You can try couple of other dentist consultations to come to a clarity.
