First — this does NOT sound like HIV. 1. About the white spot on tonsil From your description: • Small white area on one tonsil • Comes and goes • Improves with warm salt gargle • Responds to antibiotics • Only on one side This is much more consistent with: • Tonsillitis • Tonsil stone (tonsillolith) • Local throat infection • Minor bacterial inflammation It is NOT typical of HIV symptoms. ⸻ ❗ Acute HIV symptoms usually look like: • High fever • Severe sore throat on both sides • Generalized rash • Swollen lymph nodes all over body • Severe body pain • Mouth ulcers (multiple) And they usually happen 2–4 weeks after exposure, not at day 55 or day 95 only as a small white patch. ⸻ 2. Now let’s analyze your HIV risk carefully First Exposure: Sex with sex worker ✔ Condom used ✔ No condom break = No HIV risk ⸻ Second Exposure: Sex with friend ✔ Condom used initially ❗ Condom broke inside vagina ✔ You immediately changed condom Now important question: Did ejaculation happen before condom break? Even if not — vaginal exposure without condom carries some risk. BUT: Your friend tested: HIV 1 & 2 test at 54 days → NEGATIVE That is very reassuring. Modern 4th generation HIV tests are highly reliable by 45 days. So if she was negative at 54 days: She is almost certainly HIV negative. If she doesn’t have HIV, you cannot get HIV from her. ⸻ 3. Is this HIV symptom? A small unilateral white tonsil patch that: • Comes and goes • Improves with gargling • Responds to Augmentin This is NOT HIV symptom HIV does not behave like this. ⸻ 4. Your Main Problem: HIV Anxiety Your timeline: • Exposure • Throat symptom • It resolves • Comes back • Anxiety increases • You connect everything to HIV This pattern is very common in people with HIV fear after sexual exposure. Anxiety can even cause: • Dry throat • Throat irritation • Feeling of lump in throat • Repeated checking in mirror
Next Steps
Do your own 4th generation HIV test at 90 days from exposure. At 90 days: Result is considered conclusive. If negative → you are HIV free.
Health Tips
Your HIV risk is extremely low Your symptom is not typical of HIV Your friend’s negative test at 54 days is very reassuring

Hello, A single small white spot on tonsil that comes and goes and improves with gargling is not typical of HIV. It is more commonly due to: • Minor tonsil infection • Tonsil stone • Local irritation Regarding HIV risk: • First exposure – condom used, no break → very low risk • Second exposure – condom broke but you changed immediately → risk is still low • Your partner tested negative at 54 days → reassuring HIV symptoms do not appear as one small white tonsil spot repeatedly. What you should do: • If worried, do a 4th generation HIV test at 90 days for final confirmation • Continue salt water gargles • See ENT if spot persists more than 2 weeks From your description, this does not look like HIV. For complete peace of mind and proper evaluation, a consultation and final test can settle your anxiety.

First, please do not panic. From your description, a small white patch on one tonsil that improves with warm salt water gargling is not a typical symptom of HIV. 1️⃣ Is this HIV? No. A single white patch on the tonsil is usually due to: • Mild tonsillitis • Tonsil stone (very common) • Local throat infection • Food debris collection Acute HIV symptoms usually appear 2–4 weeks after high-risk exposure and include: • High fever • Severe sore throat • Body pain • Rash • Swollen lymph nodes Not just a small white spot on one side.
Next Steps
✔ Do an HIV 4th generation test at 90 days after exposure. If negative at 90 days → It is considered conclusive. About your tonsil now Since it is present for 5 days: • Continue warm salt water gargling • Complete antibiotics if prescribed • If pain, fever, or swelling increases → See ENT doctor • If white patch does not reduce in 7–10 days → Get throat examination
Health Tips
• Always use condoms correctly • Avoid multiple partners • Do not repeatedly check the throat in mirror (this increases anxiety) • Avoid self-medication From your description, this does not look like HIV symptom. Anxiety after exposure is common and can make you over-observe normal throat findings. Do one confirmatory HIV test at 90 days and relax.
