TMJ disorder. Popping sound
I face difficulty in opening my mouth. Everytime I yawn or during chewing my food, there is popping of sound. I have tmj disorder and I am going through my braces treatment and my orthodontist has advised me to do 1 exercise for it. But nothing has worked out. If there are any doctors in delhi(ncr),gurgaon and faridabad who can give me better alternatives or who know if the popping of sound can be cured permanently then please let me know. I am happy to consult

You are young so there is a vast chance of resolve this problem. No need of any invasive surgery. Dont test the jaw yourself Do not open wide or move jaw around excessively to access pain or motion. During yawning, support the jaw by providing mild pressure underneath the chin with the thumb and index finger or with the back of the hand. You haven't mentioned here about pain is there or not. For pain there are some other advise too. For further consult you can go online chat by practo. Remember the basic advise, it will definitely helps.

Hi,you need a splint or a night guard ,but that can be worn after removal of braces or you can consult your  orthodontist if he can make a hard splint.Secondly a soft diet shall help. Also do some moist heat fomentation with a towel dipped in hot water and put on the joint area on the cheek in front of the ears .Donot sleep on the side much where the popping sound ia experienced.

Look me up and trust me when I say it’s not something that can give you permanent cure. You need to wait till braces are off or atleast till the major treatment is over. If the pop is painful, you may need temporary suspension of your active therapy and you need to tell your orthodontist on this. I specialise in tmj disorders but unfortunately I can’t comment without more info or a detailed assessment and history.
Next Steps
In your previous question I suggested a few things you could do. Just see if that helps and if not please feel free to follow up.
