Hi.
If someone has jaw popping while opening and closing mouth (NO pain) and ear crackling due to TMJ Disorder, will wearing a nightguard cure these symptoms permanently?
How long does a person have to wear the nightguard? Do they have to wear it for few months or long term? Do symptoms come back after you stop wearing the nightguard?

You keep following your doctor's instructions who have prescribed you nightguard, because that nightguard even avoid extra force acting on the teeth also. So it not just your TMJ joint but also to avoid trauma to the tooth because of excessive or wrong biting
