Tibia fracture
My 9 yrs daughter got her tibia fracture. Cast was applied on 24th of May. How long it takes to heal and do her sports activities, as she is a badminton player.. attached latest x-ray..

It depends on initial impact of injury and soft tissue status . Operative management would have been better for this fracture with flexible nailing

The position of bone fragments is satisfactory. It will take 10-12 wk for plaster removal.
It will be 4-6 months before she is back to her usual sports actvities.

Usually bones heal faster in children. Since she is a sports player surgical option would have been better and faster for her.
