1. Thyroid hormones do fluctuates during the day and night and during different activities, but these fluctuations are very minimal which should not influence the blood testing.
2.It is very common the initial dose that are started will require multiple adjustments initially to find the right dose for an individual.
3.It is also important to find the cause your hypothyroidism i.e either due to iodine deficiency or autoimmune thyroiditis.
4. Along with supplementing thyroxine, it is also important to improve the life style, such as avoiding refined, processed, packaged and fried foods, avoid sugar and sweets, at least 4 servings of fresh vegetables and 2 servings of fruits per day, include nuts, resins and seeds in the diet. Avoid or reduce the consumption of refined oil to three teaspoon per day, Daily exercise for 30 mins for minimum 5 days a week. Avoid cabbage and soya. Avoiding and controlling stress is very important. Reducing weight and body fat level and increase the muscle mass all these measures if you take will help you to preserve your health along with the thyroxine supplement.
Next Steps
Consult a general physician or an endocrinologist to adjust your thyroxine dose.
