Thyroid medication
My thyroid levels are under control at 2.589 (TSH) But my doctor suggested that I take Thyronorm 50 mcg daily. I have been doing that for four years now. I take the tablet at 8 am on empty stomach. It is a bit inconvenient for me. Can I take it in the evening say at 5 pm daily. I eat dinner at around 9.30 pm. In between, I drink juice during badminton at 8 pm and eat a small bite of brownie at 7.45 pm. Please advise if it is ok to take the tablet at 5 pm. Thanks.

Yes, you can take Thyronorm in the evening, but only if it is taken on an empty stomach, at least 3–4 hours after your last meal, and 30–60 minutes before eating again. Since your TSH is well controlled, maintaining a consistent timing is more important than whether you take it in the morning or evening. If you change the timing, repeat your TSH after 6–8 weeks.
