Thyroid in first trimester
It's my first trimester (6weeks) and in blood test tsh level is 4.591 and free t4 is 0.98. Does it require medicine ? Kindly suggest!

Tsh levels in pregnancy should be below 2.5 in 1st trimester and less than 3 in 2nd and 3rd trimester. U need to start medicine and again repeat it at an interval of 6 weeks.

Ya ideally you should take 25 eltroxine daily because in pregnancy we want tsh below 3.5 So I would suggest you meet a Gynaec clinic in your area as she could guide you better and do titration of dose after examination and ultrasound scan
