Thyroid during pregnancy
I was diagnosed with thyroid during pregnancy first trimester and we had no clue whether It started during pregnancy or earlier coz I was never tested for thyroid profile before although I have family history of it. Now as I have given birth so when should I get myself tested as during pregnancy I was on high medication for thyroid now should I get my medicine or thyroid reviewed or diagnosed again or should I wait more and continue my 137 thyroid medicine dosage and I'm 17 days postpartem now

Please get your Thyroid Profile done after one month and consult a General Physician with the report.

Depends on your thyroid antibody status and your tsh values. If your Tsh was around 5 with ATPO negative then the medicine can be discontinued and should be restarted after testing thyroid profile at 6weeks post delivery. If your initial tsh was around 10 , then u need to continue medicine, also if your antibodies are positive then also u need to continue.

You need to continue the same dose for 45 days following delivery After that your thyroid levels need to be repeated and the dose will be adjusted accordingly keeping TSH levels  less than 5
