My daughter, 15 years old, has been experiencing several health issues for quite some time.
Initially, she would often feel nauseous after meals & occasionally vomit towards the end of eating. This has happened around 3–4 times. We initially thought it might be due to overeating, but the symptoms have continued.
She also frequently feels sweaty, uneasy, and uncomfortable when she is in crowded places, regardless of whether the environment is air-conditioned or not.
Over the last 10–16 days, she has additionally been experiencing:
- Mild headache, mainly at the back of the head
- Stomach pain
- Dizziness
- Feeling unusually full even after eating small amounts
A doctor prescribed stomach medication, but the symptoms are still continuing.
Recently, she has also developed sleep difficulties. Despite not using her mobile phone after 11:00 PM, she is unable to fall asleep until around 3:30–4:00 AM. Because of this, she struggles to wake up at 6:00 AM for school. any suggestions

Hi,
Proper evaluation and personalised advice are needed for your concern. A detailed consultation would be best to provide accurate guidance.
Feel free to consult me for further assistance.
A pediatric consult is required. Also need to test CBC, iron studies, vitamin b12 and vitamin D levels, thyroid profile to rule out anemia, nutritional deficiencies and gastric issues.
A psychiatric consult would be also be advised
1 # Eat a balanced diet
Plenty of vegetables, fruits,
whole grains, pulses, nuts, and seeds.
Limit ultra-processed foods, excess sugar, and excessive salt.
Choose healthy protein sources and healthy fats.
2 # Stay physically active
Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week.
Include strength training 2–3 times weekly.
3 # Maintain a healthy weight
Excess body weight increases the risk of many chronic diseases.
4 # Get adequate sleep
Most adults need 7–9 hours of quality sleep each night.
5 # Stay hydrated
Drink enough water throughout the day.
6 # Avoid tobacco and limit alcohol
Smoking and tobacco use significantly increase disease risk.
7 #Manage stress
Meditation, yoga, hobbies, social connections, and relaxation techniques can help.
8 # Practice good hygiene
Wash hands regularly and follow food-safety practices.
9 # Keep vaccinations up to date
Vaccines help prevent many serious infections.
10 # Have regular health checkups
Monitor blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, dental health, and vision as recommended.
11 # Take medications only as prescribed
Avoid self-medicating, especially with antibiotics.
12 # Protect yourself from excessive sun exposure
The symptoms appear to be multisystemic and are unlikely to be explained by a simple “stomach problem” alone. Persistent post-meal nausea/vomiting, early satiety, dizziness, sweating in crowded places, headache, abdominal pain, and recent insomnia warrant a comprehensive evaluation.
I would recommend a pediatrician/physician evaluation with baseline investigations:
* CBC, ESR/CRP
* Blood glucose (fasting/HbA1c)
* Thyroid profile (TSH, FT4)
* LFT, KFT, electrolytes
* Serum Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, ferritin/iron profile
* Urine routine
* ECG and orthostatic BP/heart rate measurements
If gastrointestinal symptoms persist despite treatment or there is significant early satiety/weight loss, consultation with a pediatric gastroenterologist and consideration of abdominal ultrasound, H. pylori testing, or upper GI endoscopy may be required.
Meanwhile, small frequent meals, adequate hydration, regular sleep schedule, avoidance of oily/spicy foods and excessive caffeine, and keeping a symptom diary to identify triggers.
Given the sweating and discomfort specifically in crowded places along with new-onset insomnia, a psychological assessment for anxiety/panic symptoms should also be considered, as these conditions commonly coexist with gastrointestinal complaints in adolescents and are highly treatable.
Next Steps
small frequent meals, adequate hydration, regular sleep schedule, avoidance of oily/spicy foods and excessive caffeine, and keeping a symptom diary to identify triggers.
Health Tips
Seek urgent medical attention if she develops persistent vomiting, severe headache, fainting, blood in vomit/stool, significant weight loss, neurological deficits, or worsening abdominal pain.
