Tetanus vaccine inquiry
I have got tetanus vaccine yesterday morning but I had to clean my study room and during that time I again got a cut by corroded kil at a table's corner. Should I again take an another dose of tetanus vaccine today .

It is important to know your vaccination status against tetanus? The tetanus shot was a booster or the first injection? If you are not fully immunized against tetanus or if the booster dose is over 5 yesrs and if the wound is deep penetrating or contaminated then the risk of tetanus increases. In such cases you may need Human Tetanus Immunoglobulin (HTIG)

If you have already received a Tetanus Toxoid (TT) injection within the last 24 hours, there is no need to take another dose right away, even if you’ve sustained a new minor injury.
However, please clean the wound thoroughly with soap and water and apply an antiseptic. If the wound is deep, contaminated, or you’re unsure about your tetanus vaccination status over the last 5–10 years, you may consider consulting a local doctor for further assessment.
