Hello. Toothpaste do not play a major role in teeth cleaning. It is more important to brush your teeth correctly in the proper brushing technique to keep your teeth clean and gums healthy. Brush your teeth twice daily. Use a floss. Rinse your mouth after every meal and maintain proper tongue hygiene. Professional Teeth cleaning (scaling) is recommended every 6months to 1 year in order to keeps your teeth clean, maintain oral hygiene and keeps your gums healthy and firm. The tartar (calculus and plaque) and stains accumulated in the teeth cannot be removed by only brushing and need to undergo scaling by a dentist. Kindly visit a Periodontist

Hi... To start with we need to know why your teeth are yellow is it naturally or because of stains and deposits. If it is because of stains and plaque and calculus you will need a scaling and that can restore back your natural tooth color. No toothpaste will help in it...the whitening toothpastes available in market have abrasive particles that will unnecessarily abrade your teeth and eventually if used for a very long period will cause sensitivity in your teeth. And if you have naturally yellowish teeth which most of us have and if you want them to look white you can go for bleaching but even that is not a permanent treatment, you’ll have to get it done again depending upon your shade and oral hygiene and food type bleach will last anywhere between 3-5 yrs not more than that.
