Their are two possible options to treat yellowish tooth like scaling and bleaching and second option could be veneer. But treatment will depend upon the extent of problem. Please attach some clear photographs of effected area for better evaluation. You can consult with doctor online or offline for better guidance and treatment options.

Hello It is possible to get whiter teeth. But the extent of discoloration of tooth will decide the mode of treatment. Teeth bleaching or whitening is the preferred first line of treatment for such cases. But if the shade of teeth is very dark, it may not be possible to get a perfect white shade naturally and other modalities such as veneers or crowns may be needed. Moreover, bleaching is not a permanent procedure and needs to be repeated on a periodic basis.
Next Steps
Visit your dentist and let him tell you all the possible options for you.
Health Tips
Don't run after getting the whitest shade of teeth. They might not look esthetic and pleasing. What is more important is that the teeth should be healthy without any plaque or calculus deposit for which you need to get your teeth cleaning done on a regular basis (every 6 months)
