Some times when the nerves are close to the outer oral environment one feels sensation to cold leading to pain. Do not be in depression there is nothing to worry but you should visit dentist as soon as possible as it may be due to deep cavity or due to gum problem. It needs to be checked for the root cause as the treatment plan will change for both of them. If it is due to cavity in the tootn then you may require a filling or a root canal treatment, but if it is due to gum problem then you may require to undergo professional dental cleaning followed by some Desensitizer Toothpaste which will help you to get rid of cold sensation and pain. Do not be anxious or reluctant in getting your dental checkup done. You should visit dentist once every six months to keep your teeth healthy.
