Please visit dentist and check if u have any cavities. Get the cavity restorations done. Please look out if you have worn away tooth structure at junction of the gums and teeth... called cervical abrasion which also causes sensitivty. Use a soft tooth brush, change your brushing technique. Get the cervical abrasion also filled.. If you have any. Do you have too many sodas, or soft drinks, bcoz they  cause erosion of tooth surface and cause sensitivity. Lastly, please check if you are having any gum recession.

Sensodyne is good but you will have to use it in a correct way. Apply it over your sensitive tooth/ teeth and leave it for 5mins...then brush your teeth with it.
Next Steps
I suggest you to get dental checkup once because if sensitivity is due to cavity in your tooth then early treatment it necessary.
Health Tips
Brush twice daily, with ultra-soft tooth brush. Get regular dental checkups done.
