Teeth alignment
Hello. I have a wide gap between my upper incisors. Also my upper set of teeth are a little ahead of the bottom set of teeth, hence i might need to correct them through braces. But the issue is that i am not a teenager now, and it's quite embarrassing to wear braces in the social sphere. What choices do i have?

The ideal & the best option is to wear braces as it will realign your own teeth without having any foreign body in your mouth for lifetime.  We also have options of doing braces treatment from the inner side of the mouth so that your braces are not visible to others &  socially it will not be bothering you. other options include veneers on the front teeth but for that we need to see your pictures, take your measurements & evaluate your alignment. Hope this helps

Hi, this is Dr. Kayannush here. The best way to correct malaligned teeth is braces. With the advances in technology and newer materials being introduced; we now no longer need to do the conventional train track metal braces. The newer techniques are ceramic braces with white wire - which is barely visible; lingual braces - where we place the braces on the inside surface of the tooth; and clear aligners - where we correct the teeth position by clear sequential trays that no one will come to know you are wearing. It is important to know that today many patients are doing adult orthodontics to correct their teeth and to regain the correct smile. We at SPARKLE DENTAL CARE; do a lot of adult orthodontics and have treated patients with all the above mentioned latest procedures.

There are many options for correcting the space between your front teeth. The best option would be braces.. and don't be worried about your age.. there are plenty of options for adult braces including lingual braces and clear aligners. If you are not keen on braces, cosmetic treatments like Veneers are a good option to close the gaps. Well made Veneers look natural and last long. Your upper front teeth being ahead of your lower teeth is actually normal. That it the case for most people. However if they are too much  ahead, braces can correct that as well.

Your age does not preclude the treatment option through braces in your case, other than the fact that you will not be comfortable carrying them for 1 to 1.5 years.... the other options available are clear aligners which are practically inconspicuous and are also removable..... the short duration treatment options of laminates or veneers can also be evaluated after a proper clinical examination and a few X rays..... please visit the dentist for the options available in your case..... Regards....
