Tb of lungs
I have been diagnosed with TB of Lungs . Initially i became weak and fever was not coming down.. I was put on Akurit 4 and slowly it settled.. Now my liver enzymes raised to Sgpt-505 Sgot-240 Doctor stopped Akurit 4 Prescribed the below 1. ETHAMBUTOL 1200 MG ONCE DAILY AFTER FOOD 2. RIFAMPICIN 600 MG ONCE DAILY (EMPTY STOMACH) 3. PYRODOXINE 10MG -ONCE DAILY 4. LEVOFLOXACIN 1000 MG - ONCE DAILY AFTER FOOD. I am very much tensed whether the treatment offered to me is correct? Whether these drugs will cure my TB..? Yes, you will have to prescribed drugs until you liver enzymes get normal . Then you will be shifted to your previous treatment . Nothing to worry , you will be cured , keep adherence to medicine , increase nutrition supplements, consult pulmonologist regularly .
