Tail bone area pain
My tail bone area and lower back area feels sore from.the last couple of days. I didn't fall down or anything. The pain goes away while I am walking but as soon as I sit down it starts to hurt . I don't know what's wrong. Is it because I am mostly sitting in front of the laptop the whole day? I do go for walks in the evening for an hour.

Hello The complains you described gives me the following reasons 1. If there is pain as soon as you touch that area and there is redness or swelling and if you have fever it could be a superficial infection 2. If pain is more on sitting and when you touch the bone hard at the tip , it could be coccydynia that is inflammation of the tip of your tail bone Put ice Use ring cushion Avoid hard surfaces Take a pain medication Do consult if it does not subside Thnks Dr Rohan Bhargava MS orthopedics

The symptoms described by you suggest a condition called coccydynia. This means inflammation in the region around the coccyx or tail bone. Avoid sitting in hard surfaces.
Next Steps
avoid sitting on a hard surface. use a cushion or coccyx cushion while sitting.
Health Tips
if not better then please see a Rheumatologist
