I went to the dentist with a toothache in the upper left side of the gum. He took a panoramic X-ray and prescribed brufen and 1 week augmentin course. I took the meds and my upper lip started to feel numb. I went to sleep and when I woke up I had my cheeks and upper lip all swollen. I went back to the dentist and he said it's not an allergic reaction I have a problem with my upper gum (Set an appointment with another doctor) and continue on the meds it should go within a few days. 2nd day worse.

Allergic reaction to Brufen maybe seen incase of asthma. However that being said, the swelling is mostly because of infection present with respect to the offending tooth. The panoramic would give a better idea and help in diagnosis for certain.
Next Steps
Schedule an appointment with the dentist for a root canal of the offending tooth
