Likely cause of a swelling may be secondary to a degenerative arthritis in your age. Commonly swelling presents in the back of the knee and referred to as a bakers cyst. In case it is growing in size or giving you symptoms, please get a radiological consult regarding nature size and origin of the swelling. Orthopedic examination remains imperative to rule out nature of swelling.
