Medicine will give temporary relief only. Get an X Ray of that tooth. Maybe their is recurrent infection or their is some infection in gums. So treatment will depend upon the cause of problem. Warm saline water rinses two to three times a day, apply ice pack from outside of the mouth over effected area for two to three times a day. Consult doctor online or offline for better guidance and treatment options.

If there is swelling in adjacent gum region drug of choice is T. metrogyl 400, 3 times/day for 3 days. After food. Do take antacid along C.Pantop D, once a day, before food. Go for xray of that tooth and visit dentist for a permanent solution.
