Swelling in ankles
I have swelling in both ankles. Usually come when I walk and my kidney reports are all okay. What could be the issue and which type of doctor should I go. My earlier doctor told me this is due to vitamin d deficiency I am taking meds from 3 months still it pains a lot when I walk and it get swollen up .

Both ankle edema can be due to any systemic cause also Check ur thyroid levels, urine protein also How long you have edema First you have to check the blood If pain also their it can be due to oroblem in ur blood circulation So after the reports normal you can see ur surgeon for further follow up Connect me throgh practo app or wattsap nine zero seven two two zero seven zero nine three

Main causes for swelling over legs (including ankle) are renal (kidney), cardiac (heart) and hepatic (liver) disorders. As per your history it seems that you may have blood vessel related problem (eg. Peripheral vascular disease) for which doppler study of blood vessels of leg is required. Other causes can be- Anemia Low albumin Hypothyroidism Cellulitis
