Swelling and pain in the knee
I have been having pain in my left knee. And there is a lot of swelling as well. I experience immense pain if I put pressure on the knee. The pain is more on the upper left side of the knee joint. It pains more if I squat or after I walk or stretch. The knee joint crackles when I fold my legs.

--. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold.

Was there any injury or jerk over the knee joint..
This type of problem may be associated with a local strain around the knee joint. Sometimes it may be due to early degenerativechanges inside the joint... Rarely, it may also be due to collection of fluid inside the joint with ? Infection - condition called Synovitis..

You should get examined clinically to know the actual condition of the knee. Also, you should get some investigations like X ray Knee joint, CBC, CRP.. Start taking analgesic for pain relief, Ice fomentation may be done..
