Because of exercise it happens n exercise is necessary also.
Advised you to apply ice pack for 5-10 min twice or thrice depends upon your swelling
Do d same after n before will give much help in reduction of pain and swelling
It is common to get swelling, applying ice pack or hot pack reduces it but if its continuing fir more than 3 days then do consult with other physiotherapists, sometimes electrotherapy is not suitable and exercises need to be changed.
Swelling may come and go for two or three days if it continues more than that, it should be checked. I understand that by Therapy you mean Physiotherapy only and I hope you're consulting a qualified BPT or MPT professional only, if so you may discuss further with the Physio.
Next Steps
You may take another Physio Consultation if this problem persists for longer.
Health Tips
Continue the rehabilitation as it is essential, few ups and downs are seen during rehab so can observe for some time.
Swelling post therapy is normal, hot fomentation or even ice packs works well for swelling. You can expect this type of swelling for 8 weeks. Keep a check on his medications and type of swelling.
Health Tips
Rest periods in between therapy is recommended in this case.
