Swallowing difficulty due to tonsillitis
I am having swelling in throat as i went to ENT he checked and said due to tonsillitis i am having swelling in throat and that causing swallowing difficulty but i want to know is it something serious as my tests are done like CBC ,ESR, CRP that all tests came normal! Will the swelling go with treatment...Will my swallowing issue be cured after my swelling goes?

Hi when TLC / WBC count is normal in CBC , it means infection is confined to throat only. So it should respond to antibiotics. Once the infection and inflammation comes down , swelling comes down in the throat. Follow up with ENT surgeon after 1 week and check how is the response.

Hi, being an ent surgeon I usually see cases like urs daily. But I need to see ur reports. And ur detailed history of symptoms. Usually tonsillitis will resolve with antibiotic proper course . Avoid cold items or foods.

Yes, with correct antibiotic course swelling will go and swallowing issue will go away completely too. Pls can you share printed reports.
