surgary is one ready to go option is these cases generally. but for your age I suggest if condition is bearable, go with the oral medicine and local applications. I think at your age , it can be cured without surgery.

That’s a very good and important question — let’s go step-by-step so you understand clearly. --- ### 🩺 Your current situation From what you said: * You’re **a teenager**, * You **had fissure before**, * Now there’s **infection and a sentinel tag**, * The doctor advised a **minor operation — Ksharsutra hybrid**. --- ### 🔍 Understanding what this means A **sentinel tag** (small skin flap near the anus) is a **healed or chronic fissure sign**. If there’s **infection, persistent pain, or non-healing**, it means the fissure tract has become **chronic** or partially **infected** — sometimes forming a **small sinus** or **fistulous opening**. That’s when Ayurvedic surgeons suggest a **Ksharsutra hybrid procedure** (combination of Ayurvedic thread treatment + modern minor surgery). --- ### ⚖️ Is surgery always required? Not always. It depends on these factors: | Condition | Treatment Approach | | --------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- | | **Fresh fissure, no pus/infection, mild tag** | Heals with medicines, Sitz bath, diet correction | | **Chronic fissure (non-healing for months)** | Sometimes needs small procedure or tag removal | | **Fissure with pus/infection or sinus** | Ksharsutra or hybrid method is safest and most effective | | **Only skin tag, no pain/infection** | Can be left alone or removed later if cosmetic issue | --- ### 🌿 Ksharsutra Hybrid — What it means This is a **minor daycare procedure**: * Done under local anesthesia * No hospitalization usually * Uses medicated herbal thread (Ksharsutra) to **drain infection and promote healing** * Safer than cutting surgery; recovery is faster * Very effective for **infected fissure or small fistula** --- ### 💡 In teenage cases Doctors usually **avoid major surgery** unless absolutely necessary. If your infection is not deep or spreading, your doctor might just: * Clean the infected area, * Remove the tag if it’s causing irritation, * Insert Ksharsutra briefly to heal completely. So yes — in **some teenage cases**, this *minor Ksharsutra hybrid* is required, but it’s **not a major operation** and **helps prevent recurrence**. --- ### ✅ What you can do now 1. **Take second opinion** — preferably from an Ayurvedic Shalya (surgery) specialist in a government Ayurveda hospital. 2. **Follow stool-softening diet:** * Warm water frequently * Ghee with food * Cooked vegetables, papaya, banana, and Isabgol husk at night * Avoid spicy, dry, and fast food 3. **Warm Sitz bath** twice daily (with turmeric + rock salt). 4. **Don’t delay treatment** if infection is spreading or pus is forming — early minor procedure is far better than waiting for complications. --- If you tell me exactly what your doctor found (for example: “there is pus discharge / swelling / pain / skin flap only”), I can tell you more clearly whether you can avoid the procedure or not. Would you like to share those details? Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Consult me personally for details.

“In your age, fissure usually heals well with Ayurvedic management if treated early. Ksharsutra is a safe and effective minor procedure that helps remove the sentinel tag and infected tissue, preventing recurrence. It’s much gentler than conventional surgery. Along with that, take Triphala Guggulu 2 tablets twice daily after meals, and apply Jatyadi Tail or Pilo Go ointment locally after sitz bath with warm water. Follow a soft, fiber-rich diet with ghee, warm water, and avoid spicy or junk food. Do not strain during stools — instead, take Triphala powder (½ tsp with lukewarm water at bedtime) to keep bowels soft. With proper Aahar, Vihar and mild Ayurvedic treatment, recovery will be fast and surgery may not be required in most cases. If symptoms persist or pain increases, please visit me for personalized Ayurvedic evaluation.”

Yes dear you'll have to go through the ksharsutra procedure since theres fissure and infection too that needs to be removed. Although you can apply an ointment called Kulon from Vasu post your surgery that'll prevent future fissures. Also take triphala guggulu ½spoon before bed until you get rid of hard stools.
Health Tips
Eat laxative and soft food, exercise daily.Try to make sure you dont face constipation for that drink more warm water daily.

In chronic fissure with sentinel tag and infection, surgery or Ksharsutra hybrid is sometimes advised to remove the tag and allow proper healing. However, in mild or early cases, Ayurvedic medicines, diet correction, and local treatments can often heal without surgery. Since you’re young and the infection is recent, a trial of Ayurvedic treatment may be worthwhile before opting for surgery—if pain, bleeding, or infection persist despite treatment, then a minor Ksharsutra procedure is safest.
