Hello Doctor,
Please suggest a melatonin brand available in India that provides low dose melatonin (0.3–0.5 mg).
I want to ask:
Is it true that low doses like 0.3–0.5 mg do NOT cause desensitization/tolerance when used for a long time?
Is this dose enough to help falling asleep, compared to higher doses like 3–5 mg?
I am looking for guidance to avoid dependence and maintain natural sleep.
Thank you.

Hey, using melatonin in such a low dose usually does not work effectively. Melatonin has different dosing for different conditions.
Please do not self prescribe and consult a psychiatrist
Hello
First of all melatonin will not cause tolerance and dependence.
It is an addition for melatonin, which is naturally formed in our brain for natural sleep.
0.3 - 0.5 mg melatonin for sleep is doubtful.
Before starting by yourself the medication, consult a psychiatrist to know your problem so that they can prescribe suitable medicine for you.
