Well usually for diabetic patients..we suggest low glycemic index good like lit of vegetables,oats,ragi,brown rice,suji etc... generally we advice to avoid rice as they shoot up sugars...fruits also they can have 1/4 th part of any fruit they like in a day...try to drink water well as hydration us important.... Consult a nutritionist...thank you
