Is it true that cancer cells grow on sugar ? I have read that cancer patients should stop eating sweets is it true ?

Partly true. It is known that intake of large amount of refined carbs can lead to cancer. There is a theory that ketogenic diet could cure cancer. However, reducing sugar alone may not help.
