Hi, Constantly reaffirm that you are in control of your thoughts, having these thoughts is simply the nature of the disorder to pick the thought that disturbs you and it gets intensified if focused on. You have to with determination try your best not to react to the thought. This is because the more you react, the more intense it can get. Thoughts will come and go. You are not your thoughts. The best way to put an end to the cycle is to practice exposure and response prevention techniques and other therapies a Psychologist can help you with to cope with support positively. Consult a Psychologist with counselling and therapy you will understand the underlying reasons and thus be able to manage effectively.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist.
Health Tips
Practice relaxing techniques, deep focus breathing, positive affirmations, mindfulness.
