This may either be due to peripheral pooling or it may be due to an eversion injury of foot and ankle leading to periosteal tear and soft tissue injury. Provide proper history for the same. Consult qt your convenience for better management.

It is dependent edema due to gravitational stasis of venous blood and fluid for long sitting. There may be incompetence of venous valves. Intermittent break from long sitting is needed. Walking exercises should be regularly undertaken. In addition to this the pain may be due to plantar fasciitis which needs confirmation after examination by a ortho surgeon. Rule out circulatory problems due to hypertension, diabetes etc. Raise your legs while in bed.
