Visit a dentist as soon as possible, there might be chances of deep tooth decay which has reached the nerves. On x ray examination it wud be clear...probably you wud be refered for a Root canal treatment
Hi,
Visit a dentist near you and get an x-ray done. The severe pain may not be because of normal cavity. There are chances that caries has been there since a long time and now it has progressed more deep and affected the nerve supply. In that case you will have to go for root canal for that tooth. there are chances also that the wisdom tooth is causing pain. dentist will take an x-ray and will guide you accordingly.
thanks
Next Steps
Take pain killers till you see a dentist and yes see the dentist as soon as possible.
you should visit a dentist and git it evaluated. Generally in such case we take an X-ray and evaluate the condition, if the cavity is not deep then it can be filled with a temporary cement and have to keep a watch for some time, if there is no pain then we do permanent restoration. But if the cavity is deep and the pulp is involved then root canal is done followed by capping. But if the involved tooth is wisdom tooth then its generally advised to get it removed because RCT in this tooth is very complicated and mouth opening is also less, but if mouth opening is sufficient then RCT can be done but chances of its success are very less.
hello,
you can do warm salt water rinses as a home remedy. but this will give you temporary relief from pain. you need to visit a dentist and get an x-ray done. if there is a cavity get it filled or if infection to roots get it treated.
You need to get a proper clinical examination done by a dentist for the correct diagnosis of your problem..... but what I can understand from your query is that you need immediate attention for the tooth and it should not be delayed till the point it becomes non restorable....
Regards
Hi, Please visit dentist as soon as possible who will prescribe antibiotics and painkillers to relieve pain & after xray treatment will be decided which will be either root canal treatment or tooth removal depending on tooth & extent of damage.
Based on your explanation it seems to be that you are having problems in your wisdom tooth. Since you say that it's very painful, first take medications after visiting a dentist, once the pain subsides then you need to remove the tooth, that would be the best treatment if it involves your wisdom tooth.
In case if it's not your wisdom tooth, probably you can try saving that molar tooth by doing rct if possible.
Next Steps
Visit your dentist at the earliest and get to know which tooth has the problem exactly and then you will be given treatment plan.
Health Tips
If you delay your visit you might get the infections more severe, so visit early and get treated fast.
