Sudden darkening of knuckles can be caused by several factors. High cortisol or B12 deficiency usually cause gradual, not sudden, pigmentation changes. Sudden darkening may suggest other causes like post-inflammatory changes or acanthosis nigricans. A proper evaluation with blood tests and skin examination is important. An online consult will help identify the cause and guide treatment. 🩺 – Dr. Silky Priya Consultant Dermatologist, Silky Skin Solutions, Pune Available for online consults via Practo
