Warm compress (not cold) Use a clean cloth dipped in warm (not hot) water. Apply gently over the eyelid for 10–15 minutes, 3–4 times a day... This helps open up the blocked gland and promotes drainae Avoid: Squeezing or popping the sty. If it persists or worsens: See an ophthalmologist (eye specialist).

A sty (hordeolum) is a bacterial infection of the eyelid gland. Since it's causing discomfort but not severe pain, here's the recommended treatment: Immediate Care: 1. Use WARM compress (not cold): - Apply clean, warm (not hot) compress for 10-15 minutes - Repeat 3-4 times daily - Helps drain the sty naturally and reduces inflammation 2. Topical Application: - Antibiotic eye ointment: Moxifloxacin 0.5% or Tobramycin eye ointment - Apply 3 times daily on the affected eyelid margin - Clean hands thoroughly before application 3. Important Don'ts: - Do NOT squeeze or try to pop the sty - Avoid eye makeup until fully healed - Don't wear contact lenses - Don't use shared towels 4. Oral Medication (if needed): - If swelling increases or spreads, may need oral antibiotics - Tablet Amoxicillin-Clavulanate 625mg twice daily for 5 days (prescription required) The warm compress is key - it increases blood circulation and helps the sty drain naturally within 3-7 days.

Can u mention whether the swelling is on eyelid margin or away from eyelid margin As u say it's not painful it might be a chalazion. Warm compress 3-4 times a day for 15 minutes. Keep the eyelid clean Avoid squeezing or touching, avoid eyemakeup like kajal or eyeliner. If no improvement then consult an ophthalmologist

Please consult an Ophthalmologist. A stye which is not painful is a cyst which should be removed completely. It will not be affected by hot and cold compressed.
