Stress due to office situation
Hi Doctor, I am extremely distressed due to the events in my office last week. I moved to a new place and despite my best efforts this has bot worked out. I couldnt get any sleep in last 2 days and feeling a lot of headache and fever. My manager and i seem to have lost trust in each other and i am looking at a situation of being jobless. I have a young family to take care of and that thought in itself is causing me great anxiety. Could you please advise and help. Its a covid time or else i could have and saw u in person. Abhishek

Dear Abhishek, It's a new place and new job. Everything is new for you. And you are new for office personnel. It's OK to have the feeling of trying to put the best impression first and trying to win everyones trust as soon as possible. Also it's very natural to feel that everyone will be observing you. How to ease your troubled mind. When that feeling comes that your manager is thinking about you or what will he be feeling about you. Tel yourself It's not new for him. It's new for you. He must have moved to another thought. And trust takes time n efforts to build n sustain.  Step 2- after coming back home. Talk to your frd . Just vent out. That way you will have a sense of support when you go to office tom. It will help you in  adjustment phase. Step 3- Remove the thought of thinking you are getting fired. Nobody gets fired due to difference of feeling of opinion.  Step 4- have milk before bed.
Next Steps
Abhishek adjustment phase requires learning of new skills. and practising them. you can do it.
