It is always a positive thing when your family/relatives wants to support a person with mental illness. Your cousin who seems to be depressed or stressed already won half the battle because of your/ family support. You can talk to him. Ask him to  reveal whatever is bothering him. Just be a good listener. Please don't be judgemental. Give reassurance that you are there for him or her.

Hello..You are such a considerate person and I would say that your cousin is so lucky to have you alongside .You can be with her even if she doesn’t want to talk.. .Reassure her that you are always there whenever she wants to talk..The ideation is basically to make her feel she is not alone during the adverse times and you are there to hold her hand as longer as she wants it.These are few things you can help her with.If you feel ,you are not able to help her at your level then seek professional help.
