Stool passing tight/hard
My baby is 8 months old. He has to put hard efforts in stool passing. It's like his stomach is dry and hard. We are giving him breast milk, toned milk, gripe water, nestle cerelac. Pls Suggest what we can do.

You are not following proper weaning practices.you should give homemade semisolid foods. I am giving an example of food chart for your baby.I hope it would be helpful for u.

Morning- Wake up and nurse for a few minutes (about 200 ml) Breakfast – 1 cup of pureed veggies or anything else in breakfast Mid-morning Snack – Half a cup of fruit/yoghurt/boiled vegetables Lunch- 1 cup of cereal Nap time Evening Snack – Breast milk or formula milk (about 200ml) Dinner – 1 cup of porridge/pureed veggies/cereal Night – Breastfeed before putting him to bed

Increase breast milk Stop gripe water Toned milk can also worsen constipation Increase complementary feeding... decrease dairy products..... this will gradually change his bowel habits

Stop gripe water, don't give too much milk, give cereals n vegetables , give sips of water in between meals......Neopeptine drops u can start

Stop giving toned milk and gripe water. Add mashed vegetables and fruits to his diet Give sips of water every now and then
