It is common for fever due to a cold to later lead to cough. It is not a new symptom. The infection has simply moved down from the nose and throat to the chest. Usually, this settles on its own, in case it doesn't, you can consult a homoeopath for an individualized prescription that suits your baby. Small sweet pills are child friendly and well tolerated by infants and toddlers.

Give plenty of warm fluids (soups, warm water sips). Keep the baby’s head slightly elevated while sleeping. Use steam inhalation (just in the room, not directly over the baby). Avoid cold drinks, oily or packaged foods.
Next Steps
DyCough, Available at Tata 1Mg.

In homeopathy, cough is treated based on the exact nature of the cough, associated symptoms, and the child’s constitution rather than fixed syrups. That’s why I don’t recommend patent medicines much. A detailed case study helps in selecting the most suitable remedy for your child, which can safely address the cough and prevent recurrence.

Give around 3-5ml depending on weight three times a day. If it doesn't resolve in 5 days oru f there are signs of dehydration or dullness/inactivity get the infant examined by a doctor near you.

Yes, it can be given. The efficacy of the syrup is not as good as proper Homoeopathic treatment.
