Spotting at 8 week 2 days
Last visited doc on 4 April 2026 as I have passed a large clot and was worried doc did the scan and as per doc baby is fine and heart beat was 161 bmp doc told me to continue with dhupaston 3times a day I am worried because the spotting is on and of with mild back pain before spotting. when its going to stop is there any other medicine I can take along with dhupaston 10mg tablet. Please help.

First trimester bleeding is very common Progesterone and support with Tranexemic acid is the combination used for treatment. If tablets are not able to help with the bleeding, injectable treatment should be started

If ultrasound is normal with good cardiac activity continue duphaston and repeat scan or do nt after 11 weeks.

If the ultrasound is normal the reason for the bleeding is progesterone deficiency The only treatment that you require as rest and the medicine prescribed by your doctor till 12 completed weeks
