Spotting at 4 weeks
I have been seeing pink and briwn spotting since a day and continues today only when wiped. The doctor told to wait a week to take a urine pregnancy test a second time. Is this something to worry about?

Light pink or brown spotting at 4 weeks is very common and in most cases is implantation-related rather than a sign of miscarriage. Roughly 20 to 30 percent of pregnancies have some early bleeding, and most continue normally. The colour matters more than the volume: brown suggests older blood, pink suggests fresh but minor, and both are usually reassuring. Heavy red bleeding with strong cramps is the pattern that needs urgent attention, which is not what you are describing.
Next Steps
Follow your doctor's advice and wait the suggested week to take the urine test. If the spotting turns bright red, if you develop strong cramping, or if you feel lightheaded, please do not wait. Go in for a same-day review with a scan and hormone check.
Health Tips
Avoid taking any pregnancy-support tablets or heat and cold applications on the abdomen without your doctor's specific advice.
