Did disc l4-5 surgery is safe,can i able to walk ,my l4-5 disc is diffuse bulge compressing nerve right side ,and i having pain in right leg and front right thaise pain also ...i m preapring for surgery but i get to know idea did disc surgery is safe.

Low back Pain radiating to your right leg with associated tingling and numbness explains your disc disease. But usually the pain and tingling is at the back of your thigh and not in front due to disc at L4-5 level..So if you have exhausted all means of treatment for the symptoms and there is no relief, you can be prepared for surgery.. But the pain in front of your thigh doesn't correlate to this level..

Not all patients of backache need surgery.

Surgery is only if you have tried all sort of conservative treatment .
There’s always some risk associated with any kind of surgery .
But if you have gone through conservative trial then you should go for surgery with full faith on your operating surgeon .
