As per your history, you should continue speech therapy. But screen time should be nil at this age , minimum of 20-30 mins if child is extremely irritable.
The child should be enrolled in a playway , it will help with speech and interaction.
Without examination it is difficult to comment upon the severity but you need to decrease screen time , increase interaction and focus on overall grooming alongside.
This is not necessarily something very serious, but it does need continued attention.
Speech delay with SPD is quite common, and since you have already started therapy, that is the right step. Improvement usually happens gradually over months, not immediately.
Main things to monitor are eye contact, response to name, understanding of commands and social interaction.
If these are improving, it is a good sign. Continue speech therapy regularly, most children show good progress with time.
Greetings ,history of speech delay, impulsivity, and sensory processing issues who began walking at 18 months. These factors can sometimes be associated with broader developmental conditions like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or Global Developmental Delay. While speech therapy is a great first step, further evaluation by a developmental pediatrician can help clarify if these signs indicate a more complex condition. Recovery timelines for speech and sensory concerns vary significantly for every child, depending on the underlying cause and the consistency of therapy. Since your son is now using some words, continued speech therapy support is key to building his communication skills.
