I'm a college student and suffering from depression. Life seems meaningless. I am having no interest in any activities. My exams are approaching and I'm having no interest to study. I have no friends. I feel very very lonely. I go to college, sit there and just came back without talking to anyone. I feel very uncomfortable there. Sometimes I have headaches also due to excessive overthinking. My mind is full of confusions and there is no peace. When people talk with each other, I feel that they are making fun of me. Because some college students had made fun of me due to my loneliness. I'm a shy type of person from my birth and suffering from social anxiety. I had few friends in every stage of my life and talk less to others. But still I was happy and never had these symptoms. In college, I had 2 -3 friends. But one day, I got fight with them and I get separated from them. Since I had no other friend, so I get isolated and depressed. They starts making fun of me. Then I took help of p

Hi, From what you describe, it seems like you are indeed troubled. Good that you chose to ask for help here. First of all, who all are there in you family? Please share this with them. On your own, or with their help, please meet a counsellor. Deeper emotional disturbances are the root cause of depression. These need to be addressed and resolved. Academics is not as important as the emotional well-being. Please give this prioroty and find burden with exam pressure.
