According to ur complaints n reports u have canal stenosis at l4-l5 l5-s1. Which means the protruded disc is compressing the nerve roots... As the diameter is less than 7 mm it is better to get operated as there is chance of cauda equina syndrome which means ur bowel and bladder control will be affected and also chances of paralysis of both legs...
Next Steps
consult ur near Orthopaedic surgeon n get surgery done
Health Tips
assess for any loss of sensation or weakness in ur legs
A slipped disc can cause back pain and if it is pressing on a nerve then the pain can come to ur legs or buttocks. In your case the small joint which connects two nearby vertebrae (bones that make the whole backbone) has developed arthritis (joint is damaged) which is the cause of back pain predominantly.
Next Steps
A combination of medicines, physiotherapy and lifestyle modifications would help.
Health Tips
Avoid lifting weights or activities that need bending forwards.
