Slip disc...
I am having l4-5 slip disc ,wen i stand or walk my right leg heavy ness started ,feeling so weight in leg ,pain , and also feel some discomfort in back... wat i have to do ..if i do surgery will this problem disapper..will i able to walk and stand without discomfrt... please let me know.. i attached report also

Not all patients of backache need surgery. Most of them can be treated with out surgery. This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. MRI will show many pathological changes as it is a highly sensitive diagnostic imaging device..But the symptoms you have can be only due to one or two pathological changes mentioned in the MRI.. I think the decision for surgery should be discussed by you with your examining ortho specialist so that you get the best idea of relief that you may get after surgery.. Also surgery though safe now a days has its own complications and the benefit risk ratio should be weighed in while considering surgery!

You can try medicine for 6 weeks with physiotherapy.. even after 6 weeks, if no improvment, then only go for surgery Not a hurry for surgery.
