Hello practo user I can understand your concerns regarding your health . It is suggested that you try and have a relaxing environment before you go to sleep , you can do this by taking a warm shower and then listening to some calming music or even practice guided meditation which can help clear your thoughts . Try and avoid caffeine or a heavy dinner prior to sleeping . Smoking before sleeping is also associated with a disturbed sleep . To help you quit smoking tell as many people as you can that you want to leave as to having a social circle which is motivating , try and avoid people who smoke around you as the cravings can be difficult to control , try and slowly reduce the amount of cigarettes as suddenly stopping is also difficult . You can also ask your trusted friends and family members to help motivate you to quit . It is advisable that you seek help from a clinical psychologist for an indepth analysis of your issues and also to learn positive and healthy strategies which will be beneficial for your overall physical and mental health . Hello, To quit smoking most important thing required are persistent motivation and good detoxification measure. If tried leaving on own you may face withdrawal symptoms. There are various detoxification treatment available with high success rate. Depending upon the severity of smoking and your physical profile treatment can be started. Good universal sleep hygiene will help to get a good sleep. Consult for detailed assessment.
