Sitopaladi Churna is generally considered safe during pregnancy when taken in moderate doses under the guidance of an Ayurvedic physician. It helps relieve cough, throat irritation, and congestion naturally.
Safety in Pregnancy:
Safe in mild to moderate doses (½ to 1 tsp with honey or warm water).
No known harm to the baby when taken appropriately.
Helps strengthen immunity and balance Kapha-related cough.
Precautions:
Avoid excessive use, as it contains long pepper (Pippali), which in high doses may have a mild uterine stimulant effect.
Prefer taking it with honey or ghee instead of warm water for better safety.
Consult your doctor before use, especially if you have gestational diabetes, as Sitopaladi contains sugar.
If the cough is severe, consider Tulsi tea, ginger with honey, or Yashtimadhu (licorice) infusion as additional natural remedies.
