Hello dear psychiatrists, I am a type-1 Diabetic and wanted help regarding a small query that- i have stopped medicines which I was Prescribed (Escnx plus-10mg, Zapis 0.25 and tancodep 2 mg) by my in person psychiatrist. I left taking consultations for Anxiety attacks after 3 months of taking medicines from the psychiatrist because she was not really understanding, so I decided taking therapy sessions but left that as well later. Since 3-4 days I have left taking the medicines so my question is what are the possible side effects I may experience or will I face any side effects. The psychiatrist diagnosed Mixed anxiety depression in me but I am not sure if this is what I am experiencing right now.
I really appreciate you for answering my question Thank you.

It will take 4-12 weeks for the medication effects to wear off. If continuing therapy is fine, you can do the same. If again anxiety and depressive or any other symptoms recur consult another psychiatrist and get evaluated. Good luck.

Hi.. diabetes can also be one of the mimicker of anxiety attacks. Any hypoglycemic episodes can cause palpitations, dizziness etc.. which can mimic anxiety. Hence i recommend you to have diabetes under control to minimize anxiety attacks. Yes withdrawal from ssris can have flu like symptoms for a few days. If your anxiety is not gone, the symptoms could be exacerbated during this period. It's advisable to gradually decrease and stop the above medications.
Once you have stopped the medication you may feel a bit dysphoria or the anxiety may worsen. It’s not a mandatory thing but you can try without any medication. All the best.
You might
You should have tapered then off
But never mind
U can exercise to reduce any side effects
Be aware
Even if there would be they will subside
If you have decided to go cold turkey be prepared and compensate with diet and exercise
Next Steps
CBT journaling helps anxiety and finding the root cause

hello,
as you have stopped treatment suddenly , you may face relapse of anxiety and depression in future. You should have continue treatment for minimum 9 months.
Next Steps
You should take consultation to avoid future relapse of illness even if you are not having any symptoms at present
More than side effects, you might experience relapse of your old symptoms for which you had to take mediation and therapy at first place .
The side effects if at all you develop will be quite mild and might not even notice unless you actively look for it . So better to stop reading / enquiring / searching for possible side effects and take appropriate treatment/therapy for your underlying psychological conditions as it's more likely to relapse with such a short treatment course .
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist/ therapist which you find is able to understand your problems and could guide you better . No harm in trying a few therapists online and finding someone with whom you are complete .
Abruptly stopping psychiatric meds might in some cases cause rebound phenomenon- depressive/ anxiety issues might crop up again, sleep problems or headache, low energy, lightheadedness or gastric issues can be seen as well
Kindly don’t self medicate, talk to your doctor to gradually taper down meds or see another doctor
