I have had SI joint TB in the past. It's been 2 years since I finished the treatment, i had swelling in si joint during that time. Even after the treatment the swelling dint go off completely. And i still have pain sometimes in that area. Is it normal. Or shall I get the mri done.? I dint check if the tb is cured or not after treatment the doctor said it's not needed. Infection in your SI joint might have been cured..But The after effects of infection like erosion of the joint may persist..This might be the cause of your pain..Even your MRI would show the same... Ultimately if the pain is not much and quality of your life is good, you can wait..Get orthopedic surgeon consultation for clinical examination and further treatment.
