Dear Patient,
There are many factors to look for in a shoulder dislocation and they can be assessed only clinically.
Get assessed by an orthopaedic surgeon.
You may have to be put on specific exercises to strengthen the rotator cuff muscles. Also depending on the clinical signs and symptoms and history your surgeon may suggest an MRI to plan further treatment

Yes at your age group first time shoulder dislocation should be treated carefully . It takes 3 to 6 weeks for these things to settle down. However there is a chance of redislocation in the future. So please keep an eye on this and do strict physiotherapy. Since you are asking very politely I am suggesting you this. Please get an MRI scan if it redislocates in the future and speak to a shoulder Surgeon
All shoulder dislocations including first-time ones should be treated with utmost care. Relevant pathology should be assessed to see the damage and tailor the treatment accordingly
